How much free speech do we really have today? We live in a generation of emotionally weak people. Everything has to be watered down because it is offensive. Including the truth. IF you are a conservative/Republican and you still have facebook and or twitter, then you know your post and comments are being censored, and discriminating against your opinions, thoughts and ideas. They will block, delete, suspend or take your account down completely. Because your free speech IS what THEY say it is.
Have you ever tried to post information about doctors that use hydroxychloroquine to treat covid 19, or have you ever seen that information on any of these platforms? How about if you were to point out the lies and propaganda by Dr Fauci, the CDC, and the WHO. What happens when you post information about the origin of covid 19, and that it came from a lab in Wuhan China. And was created for a bioweapon to shut down and destroy many lives and the economy of The United States of America. All funded by the American taxpayers.
Do you know who is on the board of facebook fact-checkers? Im sure you have never heard of these people. Afia Asantewaa, Evelyn Aswad, Endy Bayuni, Catalina Botero-Marino, Katherine Chin, Nighat Dad, and Jamal Greene. And WHO is funding this board? Thats right you got it, George Soros. He has given away more than $32 billion of his own money to support their work around the world.
So we have facebook, twitter, instagram (owned by facebook) and others, not one of these platforms allows free-speech. Then why do conservatives, and people on the right continue to use these sites? They are addictive, entertaining, and a great place to connect with old friends.
Freedom of Speech is protected by our First Amendment in The Constitution. Adopted on December 15th, 1791 as one of the ten Amendments that constitutes The Bill of Rights. As written prevents congress from making any law respecting an establishment of religion, prohibiting the free exercise of religion, or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press; or the right of the people to peaceably assemble. And to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Then we have our college campuses, and universities where the First Amendment is rarely enforced. They have become places of left-wing ideology. Where it is acceptable to intimidate, cause chaos, and disruption to silence the speaker of whom they disagree with.
On February 7th, 1946 a Roman Catholic priest who was outspoken opponent of the Truman administration gave a speech in a hall in Chicago. His name is Father Arthur Terminiello. The opponents were about 1600 people, and his supporters about 800. When the police thought violence might breakout, they ordered Terminiello to stop speaking and leave the venue. He stood his ground and refused to leave. He knew his rights. So he was arrested and charged with “breach of the peace”. None of the people that broke chairs, smashed windows, and stormed the stage were arrested.
Terminiello was convicted. He appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Where they reversed his conviction. The court said the government can NOT silence a speaker because they don’t like or agree with his views and words.
The First Amendment is vital to our personal liberties and freedoms. We must protect and defend The Constitution as written.
God Bless America!
